Values of dedication to mastery, overcoming fears, and confronting limitations are values which create strong characters. We are inspired to expose these ideas to children for them to explore themselves, wrapped in the supportive surf community and encouraged at every step.

Leoncitos is our Foundation. ‘Little Lions’ describes the roaring, brave, confident little kids that Surf Costa Rica hope to help form, through our programs and those of our close partners. Some projects already planned or underway are safehouse services for vulnerable women and children, English classes, digital education and career pathways, and local sports grants.
